What is a Fitness Assessment? A Fitness Assessment consists of a Medical/Health History Questionnaire and a 30-45 minute series of tests to measure the following: * Resting heart rate/blood pressure * Body composition * Muscular Strength and Endurance * Flexibility
What is the purpose? * The Health History screening is designed to identify any health/medical concerns which require physicians clearance prior to starting a regualr excercise program. * Provides information about your baseline fitness level and allows for comparisons to standardized norms to individuals of the same age and gender. * Allows fitness instructor to develop an excercise program to fit your needs based on the fitness assessment results. * Motivates you to stick with the training program and allows for future re-testing to measure improvement. * Allows a fitness instructor to design a safe and effective exercise program based on your specific needs.
TIP OF THE WEEK...
Drink water to help with weight loss. Water is one of the best tools for weight loss, first of all because it often replaces high-calorie drinks like soda and juice and alcohol with a drink that doesn't have any calories. But it's also a great appetite suppressant, and often when we think we're hungry, we're actually just thirsty. Water has no fat, no calories, no carbs, no sugar. Drink plenty to help your weight-loss regimen.
